Terms of Service

Milepost Filings is a private commercial filing service. These terms govern your use of milepostfilings.com and every order placed through it. Placing an order means you accept them.

We are not the FMCSA. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration or the U.S. Department of Transportation. We are not a law firm and nothing we provide is legal advice.

For $45.00 we prepare and submit your BOC-3 designation, which puts blanket process-agent coverage on record in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The FMCSA charges nothing for the BOC-3 itself. Our fee is for preparing the designation and making the filing. You are free to designate any process agent you choose, and free to make the filing yourself.

We prefill your details from the FMCSA’s public record. Checking them is your responsibility: we send what you confirm, not what the record happens to say.

A filing rejected because the details you confirmed were inaccurate is not a failure on our side. We will correct the details and send the request again once at no extra charge.

We do not control the FMCSA. We cannot promise when your filing will be processed, that your operating authority will be granted, or that it will be granted by any particular date. The BOC-3 is one requirement among several, and satisfying it does not guarantee authority.

The fee in § 2 is charged once. We do not charge an annual fee for this filing and there is no subscription.

You may move to a different process agent at any time by filing a new BOC-3. Doing so supersedes the earlier designation automatically. You do not need our permission and you do not need to tell us.

If the filing cannot be completed, you get your money back in full. The refund policy sets out what is refundable once a filing has been made.

Our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for lost profits, lost contracts, downtime, or any consequential loss arising from a filing being delayed, rejected or incorrect.

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it.
